Our Mission Statement
To provide the highest quality of family entertainment possible by providing an outstanding level of customer service to all patrons of Wuerfel Park while representing the Traverse City Beach Bums in a professional and friendly manner. We invite you to enter Wuerfel Park as guests and leave as fans.
ADA and Barrier Free seating are available upon request. Wheelchair and companion seating is located at the top of Sections 106 & 107.
No alcoholic beverages may be brought into or out of Wuerfel Park. Michigan law prohibits the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 21. Fans must show proper identification and obtain a wrist band at the I.D. Check Station located on your left at the main entrance. The sale of alcohol will cease at the beginning of the 8th inning. Wuerfel Park reserves the right to deny the sale of alcoholic beverages at any time.
Certified seeing-eye dogs and/or assistance dogs are allowed into Wuerfel Park. No other animals are permitted within the ballpark.
Get your favorite player's autograph after the game outside of the clubhouse. Players are not allowed to throw baseballs or equipment into the stands at any time, so please do not ask for such items. Frontier League rules prohibit players from signing autographs during the game. Please bring your own pens, pencils and items to sign. Team autograph sessions are held after Sunday home games, along with 'Kids Run The Bases.' Fans please note the normal start time for Sunday games is 5:05 pm (first pitch).
Baby and Toddler Tickets
Parents/family members do not need to purchase a ticket for children three years old and younger, unless the child will be occupying a chairback seat by himself/herself.
Backpacks, diaper bags and other bags are permitted at Wuerfel Park. Each bag will be checked at the entrance to ensure that there are no food items being brought in. FANS PLEASE NOTE: Outside food and beverages (including bottled water) are not allowed at Wuerfel Park, both by park rules and by Frontier League rules. Wuerfel Park has a large and varied menu of very good ballpark food including hot dogs (half lb. HAWG dogs), brats, the 1/3 lb. Bums Burger, barbecued chicken or pulled pork sandwiches, nachos w cheese, JET'S DEEP DISH pizza, Macaroni & Cheese, super pretzels, desserts, including MOOMER'S Ice Cream and soft drinks. Wuerfel Park also offers a wide range of Short's Microbrew and Miller beer products.
Banners and Signs
Banners containing advertising are strictly prohibited within the ballpark without prior consent from Traverse City Beach Bums management. Fans may display a sign only if it is in good taste and does not pose an inconvenience to other fans. Nothing may be hung over the field side walls/railings where it could interfere with the game. Nothing may be hung from the Private Suite windows.
Berm (or Grass Berm)
Tickets for the berm are $6.00. The berm area is located from the left field foul pole to the scoreboard sign and in right field from the visitors bullpen to the first stack of lights.
The Beach Bums' All-Inclusive Birthday Party includes: 10-chairback tickets, 2 Extra Large Pizzas, a personalized birthday cake for the birthday child, a special gift from the Beach Bums, and a birthday announcement on the stadium public address system during the game. ALL FOR ONLY $200. Minimum ten children; addition all-inclusive birthday party guest tickets $20. Remember, a limited amount of parties are available per game, book yours today by calling the Beach Bums Ticket Office at (231) 943-0100.
Box Office (or Ticket Office)
The Ticket Office is located on both sides of the main entrance at Wuerfel Park. Tickets may also be purchased on the Traverse City Beach Bums website http://www.tcbeachbums.com/tickets. The office is open (from May through Labor Day) Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM and through the 7th inning on game-days. During the season non-game day hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Game Day phone orders start at 10am until two hours prior to game time. During the off-season (mid-September though April), please direct questions to Michael Ward, Director of Ticketing, 231-943-0100, ext. 208, email: email@example.com.
Hanging out around the bullpen is a great way to watch and learn from professional pitchers. However, please be respectful and allow the pitchers to concentrate when it is their time to warm-up. Players are not allowed to throw balls to fans at any time. Fans may not lean over the bullpen wall or be obnoxious toward the visiting team pitchers. Unruly fans will be removed by Beach Bums security.
Cameras and Video Equipment
Fans are permitted to bring cameras and video equipment into Wuerfel Park provided that they are intended for personal use only. Taping of any game footage is strictly prohibited (please contact the Traverse City Beach Bums Director of Media/Broadcasting to request a media pass). Fans are not permitted to stand in the aisles or obstruct others from viewing the game while taking photographs. Monopods and tripods are not permitted.
Cell Phones and Pagers
The use of cellular phones and pagers is permitted at Wuerfel Park, provided such use does not interfere with other fans enjoyment of the game.
Code of Conduct
The Traverse City Beach Bums is committed to providing its fans with an enjoyable, safe atmosphere. Our staff will proactively intervene in order to support a family-oriented environment where all guests can enjoy the baseball experience free from the following behaviors:
- foul or abusive language or gestures
- intoxication or other signs of impairment
- inappropriate attire
- displays of affection not appropriate in a public family setting
- disruption of the game or an unauthorized individual on the playing field
- smoking or tobacco use inside the ballpark facility
If someone interferes with your enjoyment of a game, please contact any employee of the Traverse City Beach Bums for assistance. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of all our fans.
There are concessions and ice cream parlors located on either side of the stadium on the main concourse. Don't want to wait in line? Skip the wait and visit one of our two grilling stations located behind sections 101 and 112. A Hot Dog or a Bum Burger right off the grill are treats not to be missed. Drinks, ice cream and other yummy treats are also available at numerous kiosks set up around the concourse.
The Traverse City Beach Bums gladly accept MasterCard, VISA or Discover and American Express for any ticket, concession or merchandise purchase. Beach Bums gift cards may be used anywhere as well with the sole exception of the grills.
Located inside the second to last door on the first-base side of the concourse, the Guest Services center can help you with any questions you may have.
Donations and Charitable Contributions
We strive to make Beach Bums Baseball a fun, safe and enriching experience for fans, sponsors, and members of the community. Our goal is not only to make the Traverse City Beach Bums name synonymous with a successful baseball team on the field, but also an asset to the community and the fans that support us off the field.
The Beach Bums are pleased to offer assistance to a wide variety of charitable/community organizations, youth sports teams, schools and other special interests. In addition to providing top quality baseball entertainment, the Rascals strive to be an active contributing member of the community. Through both the donation program and fundraising opportunities, the Beach Bums look to make a positive impact on Northern Michigan.
Listed below are the procedures and guidelines regarding donation requests. Due to the high volume of requests weekly, please allow 4 weeks notice prior to your event.

Your letter is required to be on your organizations letterhead and include a self addressed stamped envelope and include the following:
- Self addressed stamped envelope
- Organization name, address, phone number and email address
- Federal Tax ID number
- Contact Persons name, address, phone number and email address
- Event name
- Event date and time
- Event location
- Reason for you event
Please limit requests to once per year. Please refrain from sending multiple requests to other departments within the Traverse City Beach Bums organization. Request will only be considered by the front office.
Please note as much as we would like to we cannot fill every donation request.
Game day positions are sometimes available at Wuerfel Park. Most shifts are during evenings and weekends. Watch for the job postings in early April.
Exchange and Refund Policy
No refunds, No exchanges.
Exit and Re-Entry
Fans may exit Wuerfel Park at any time. Fans who need to exit the park must get their hand stamped and show their ticket to re-enter.
A family restroom with a changing table is located next to the Beach Bums Bar on the first base side of the concourse. The door is labeled, "UNISEX".
Interference with a ball in play and trespassing onto the playing field are strictly prohibited by Traverse City Beach Bums policy. Fans who violate this policy are subject to ejection and/or arrest and prosecution. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of our players as well as all our fans.
Fireworks displays are scheduled for 9 different dates during the 2016 season. Stadium lights are turned off so fans can enjoy the fireworks display. Please keep this in mind for the interest of your safety. For the safety of our guests, fans that are seated on the lawn sections will be asked to move to the outside of either foul pole for the fireworks show.
First Aid/Lost Parents
Located at the Guest Services Center.
Fans may keep foul balls hit into the stands; however, running and pushing to retrieve a ball will not be tolerated. Fans must not enter the playing field to retrieve balls or otherwise interfere with balls in play (see Fan Interference). When attempting to catch a foul ball please do not interfere with the game in progress and be respectful of other guests (see Code of Conduct). Please be aware (especially those sitting outside of the protective netting) that balls may be hit into the stands at high rates of speed and can cause serious injury. Beach Bums players, coaches, and management are not responsible for injuries caused by objects exiting the field and entering the stands. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of all our fans.

Lost and Found
During games, items/articles can be turned in or claimed at the Guest Services office located on the first base side of the concourse. The Traverse City Beach Bums are not responsible for lost or stolen property but we would be happy to help you find lost items. To inquire about lost items following game days, please call the Traverse City Beach Bums office at (231) 943-0100.
Lost Children or Companions
The Traverse City Beach Bums suggest that a parent or guardian place the ticket in their child's pocket in order to assist staff in locating their parties. Security, Ushers and management will help in locating a lost child or companion. All concerns should be directed to Guest Services on the concourse on the first base side.
Traverse City Beach Bums apparel is available in our gift shop located on the left side of the main entrance. The gift shop is open on non game days, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is closed on Sunday. On game days it is open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., then reopens for the game at 5:30 and is open until the end of the game. Sunday game days it is open from 10 a.m. until the end of the game. Message, Video Board & P. A. Announcements
Want to celebrate a special occasion? Get your personal message read during the game. To sign up, visit Guest Services or call (231) 943-0100. All video and message board requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the game. There is a $10 - $25 fee for announcements and/or message board messages. The video board is $50-$100 for announcements and videos depending on the graphics desired. Limited space is available for all PA announcements, message board announcements and video board messages.
Former and active military personnel may purchase their ticket for 30% off as a THANK YOU from the Traverse City Beach Bums. Please show your military ID when purchasing your ticket. Discount applies to chairback seating only.
National Anthem Singers
National anthem auditions are held in April of each year. If you missed the auditions and are interested in singing during a home game, please send in a resume highlighting similar experiences along with an acapella version of the national anthems on an audio cassette (non-returnable). Drop-off or mail all materials to the Traverse City Beach Bums front office located on the second floor of the clubhouse.
The safety net around the home plate area stands 30 feet high and stretches from Sections 105 to 108. These are perfect sections for fans young to old who enjoy socializing and may not give the action on the field their undivided attention. Objects can leave the field of play at high rates of speed. Fans not sitting behind the net should pay strict attention to the action on the field.
A game is considered official following four-and-a-half innings of play, or five full innings if the Traverse City Beach Bums are trailing at the time of the delay.
Outside Food & Drink
Frontier League rules prohibit all outside food and drink inside Wuerfel Park. Bags will be checked at entry.
There is a $3.00 per vehicle charge to park in the Wuerfel Park lot on game days. The lot opens an two hours prior to the first pitch. Fans may not re-enter on the same parking ticket if they choose to leave. Fans please note: Special event parking (concerts, etc.,) is $5.00 per vehicle.
In a change from past years, playing catch in Wuerfel Park is NOT ALLOWED in order to maintain a safe environment for all fans.
Enjoy the ballgame and entertain a group of your friends, business associates, key customers, or employees in the quiet comfort of your own private suite. Our furnished private suites are an unprecedented 35' x 14', each with its own private restroom. The suites accommodate up to 10 adults (21 years & older only) and offer private food and beverage service so you will never miss a moment of action.
Traverse City Beach Bums souvenir programs are available for purchase during the game at both Gift Shop locations and at various kiosks throughout the ballpark.
In the interest of fan safety and enjoyment at Wuerfel Park, Traverse City Beach Bums management reserves the right to prevent certain items from being brought into the ballpark. Please note that these policies are designed for the safety of all our fans.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to the following:
- alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, non-alcoholic beer
- glass bottles or cans
- ice chests or hard-sided coolers
- sticks/clubs (including signs attached to sticks)
- camera tripods or monopods
- fireworks and confetti
- bullhorns, or other noisemakers
- animals, except certified services dogs
- skateboards or roller blades
- squirt guns or super soakers
- laser pointers
- weapons of any kind

Rain Delays & Cancellations
If a game must be cancelled prior to the bottom of the fourth inning, tickets may be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any other regular season game, based on availability. Fireworks and other special promotions are subject to cancellation in the event of adverse weather/wind conditions or circumstances beyond the control of management. No part of the ticket purchase price will be refunded or exchanged as a result of such cancellation.
The Beach Bums Reading Program will be entering its 12th season in January, 2017. The details of the 2017 Beach Bums Reading Program are still to be worked out. Please check back for more information.
Fans who need to exit the park must get their hand stamped and show their ticket to re-enter. Fans leaving the parking lot will be charged a second parking fee upon re-entry.
Restrooms are located on the concourse on both sides of the stadium. A UNISEX FAMILY BATHROOM with changing table is located next to the Beach Bums Cafe on the first base side of the concourse.

Pocket schedules will be available at the Ticket Office, both Gift Shops, and the reception area in the front offices as well as numerous locations throughout the community. WHEN? Typically pocket schedules are published in March each year. Fans who enjoy collecting baseball schedules may send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) and request pocket schedules. Four schedules can be mailed for one first class postage stamp.
For the safety of all our fans, security personnel are on site during all games. If you have an emergency, please contact the nearest Traverse City Beach Bums employee or security personnel.
Designated smoking areas are located outside the main gates of the stadium. Fans must have their hand stamped and show tickets for re-entry. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere inside of Wuerfel Park.

Visit the Beach Bums Ticket Office at Wuerfel Park, 10-6 (M-F), 10-2 (Saturday), or by visiting the ticket office during any home game -- open through the sixth inning.

Game Days: The ticket office is open for phone orders Monday thru Saturday 9 am-5pm; Sunday 10am thru 3pm. Phone lines close for ticket orders two hours before game time on game days. MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards are welcome.
Ticket may be purchased 24/7 through a link from our website. There is a $3 per ticket booking fee incurred when buying online. For special ticket purchases please call the box office directly if you are unable to come to the ballpark yourself.
Umbrella and Rain/Sun Protection Policy
Fans may bring small umbrellas into Wuerfel Park as long as they do not interfere with other fans enjoyment of the game. Large umbrellas are discouraged.
Phone or internet order tickets may be picked up at the Will Call Window (box office window to the left), located at the main entrance to the stadium during regular Ticket Office hours. Please Note: Proper identification must be presented at the time of pick-up. Will call tickets may be picked up in advance of the game and/or event if ordered in advance. Choosing to do so will mean less time spent in a line at the will call window.
Yelling profanities is not allowed at Wuerfel Park. The management reserves the right to remove rowdy fans from the park at any time. Please be a good sport and enjoy the game...
