#24 Engell, Chris (IF)

Engell recently completed his senior season for the University of San Diego Toreros, hitting a team leading .416 with a homer and 35 RBI while stealing 10 bases in 11 chances. In 2009 for USD, Engell batted .359 with three homers and 37 RBI. Engell shined when the bright lights were on as he went 5-for-14 in the NCAA Tempe Regional with two RBI and four runs scored. He was in the top 40 in the NCAA in hitting and was in the top 10 in the West Coast Conference in runs, total bases, on-base percentage and steals.
