A Shorline, WA native, Brandon Howard comes to the Beach Bums after having played for the Long Beach Armada in the Golden League in 2009. In 47 games, Howard hit .290 with a homer, 18 RBI and stole 10 bases. The switch-hitter displayed a good eye at the plate, drawing 23 walks in under 200 plate appearances, helping him register a .397 on-base percentage.
