Pulley, who played last season with the Evansville Otters, joins the Beach Bums coaching staff as the infield and catching coach. The 2010 season will be Pulley's first as a professional coach, but he he has an extensive resume as a player and instructor.
Pulley was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles as a 3rd basemen in the 12th round of the 2003 MLB Draft out of Woodland High School in California. He spent five seasons in the Orioles system from 2003-2007 and was converted into a part-time catcher along the way. Pulley did not play in 2008, but returned to action in the Frontier League with the Evansville Otters in 2009. He lives in Noblesville, Indiana, where he has been a hitting, catching, and infield instructor at Roundtrippers Baseball Academy for the past five years.
